Mary Cole

Mary Cole 76 of Mt. Sterling passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024. She was born February 16, 1948 in Salyersville to Brack and Gladys Nickels. She worked in factories and farmed. She is survived by two sons Willie Cole (Angela), Merlin Nickels, two daughters Gladys Curtis, Elsie Cole (Mark), nine grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, four brothers Dudley Nickels, Abe Nickels, Jake Nickels, Andrew Nickels, three sisters Sylvia Smith, Rella Gipson and Lida Jo Gipson. She was preceded in death by her parents Brack and Gladys Nickels, a grandson Wesley Cole, four brothers Larry Nickels, David Nickels, Burnam Nickels, Rob Nickels and two sisters Pansy Miller and Ella Mae Gipson. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City with Bro. Bill White officiating. Friends may visit Saturday from 11 AM till time of the service. Burial will be in the Patrick and Lovely Cemetery in Salyersville. Pallbearers are Dalton Brown, Hunter Nickels, Mark McCoy, Ryan Duty, Brandon Mullins and Dion Thompson. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
